Cancelling Appointments

We understand that unexpected issues come up that require patients to cancel and reschedule their appointments. We ask for at least 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. This will allow us time to schedule another patient who may be in need of urgent care. We also ask that you call us if you are going to be late for your appointment.

Urgent appointments

If you NEED AN URGENT APPOINTMENT you may not be able to see your REGULAR PHYSICIAN – however all of our QUALIFIED PHYSICIANS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR FILE and you will be seen by the FIRST available physician.

How do I get my results?

Your consultation letter and all test results are forwarded to your family doctor. We work with your family doctor to provide you with the best possible care.
You will get your results at your next follow up appointment.

What To Bring To Your Appointment

You should arrive for your appointment about five minutes early to check in at the front desk. Each time you come please bring the following

  • Your health card so that we can update all your information
  • All your current medications.
  • Any recent tests since your last visit (blood, x-ray, MRI etc)

There are different doctors and procedures being done at all times – please check in upon arrival and if there is going to be a wait – the receptionist will offer you several alternatives

Prescription Refills

Prescription refills are taken care of during your scheduled appointment. This allows your physician to verify the medicine you are taking and make any changes if necessary. We do not repeat prescriptions over the phone.

If you need a routine refill between office visits, you can call your pharmacy and family doctor. If there are questions about your medicine refill, your pharmacist will contact our office.

Hospital Emergency and Admissions

If you are admitted to hospital or are in the Emergency Department- let the doctor who is treating you know that you are a patient of Brampton Cardio. In hospital you will be seen by a community cardiologist. When you are discharged, call our office for an appointment and we will follow up your care. Note: We will be able to access any tests or treatment done during your hospital stay.
